Getting an interview with Creeper actor Jonathan Breck, who appears a pleasant guy, provides a nice (if sole) bonus feature. In this classic of the horror film genre that launched a movie franchise, a hideously scarred pedophile who was murdered by a lynch mob returns years. The movie isn't good, but at least it isn't dull (something you can't say about some of those later "Phantasms"). Having #3 bridge the narratives of #1 and #2 was at least an unexpected decision. Since then, the flesh-eating franchise has managed to get three separate movies under its belt, with the most recent (and by far the worst) releasing in late 2017. Victor Salva remains a technically proficient filmmaker (at least compared to most direct-to-video-level horror directors), and there are scattered things to like, notably giving Meg Foster a major role. Jeepers Creepers has been a heavyweight in the horror genre ever since its cinematic debut almost 20-years ago back in 2001. All that gets thrown out the window here, only lessening atmosphere and suspense. Lingering on a few characters in peril, with few and frightening glimpses of the Creeper, was clearly something that worked well for the prior installments. Nor is the hitherto teasingly doled-out mythology at all heightened by overly graphic FX views of him in flight, or so much dwelling on the armored truck he's got that isn't just a "death wagon," it's made out of indestructible stuff and has all kinds of lethal gizmos more appropriate to a "Phantasm" movie. But what's really inexplicable is that there's way too much of the Creeper, who is no longer a seldom-seen figure of mystery but one seen WAY too often, in broad daylight, moving around like a regular guy albeit in some kind of Comic Con costume.
There's too much action here, too many characters, all unconvincing and sometimes silly. The monster they would be referring to is the films’ writer and director, Victor Salva, a convicted child molester who preyed upon the star of. But actually "JC3" would have been better-and more like the earlier films-if it were smaller scaled and less costly. When Scream Factory decided to re-release Jeepers Creepers and Jeepers Creepers 2, they received a significant backlash from film fans asking how they could support work created by an abusive monster.
Still do not support this asshole.Normally with a movie like this that took so long getting and presumably had trouble securing financing, you'd expect the problem to be a restrictive budget. Naturally, its victims dont survive the process. An ageless, demon-like creature, The Creeper emerges every 23rd spring for 23 days, then proceeds to feast on human body parts to sustain itself. But I hope I made it more clear what it meant by doing so lmao The original Jeepers Creepers film was released back in 2001, and introduced the world to the rather cool monster known as The Creeper (Jonathan Breck). Not supporting him, also I am drunk so am sure I probably repeated myself 500x. At least this dude spent some time in prison. Unfortunately our current system is broken. That's supposed to be the point of prison. We either need to give harsher and JUST punishments for rape of a minor/rape in general or we have to agree in our current "justice system" and once a person is out of prison for serving their "time" however pathetic that amount of time may have been, they have a clean slate. For once this case actually ended up with a person getting jail time! Jeepers Creepers 3, written and directed by convicted pedophile Victor Salva, came out in 2017 under a massive cloud of controversy, as legions of people were outraged that Salva made yet another. We have let many off and let them continue working as well. Convicted pedophile director Victor Salva apparently hasnt learned his lesson after nearly 30 years, inserting a child molestation joke into Jeepers Creepers 3. While no scenes in the movie depict molestation, IGN reports that there is a joke included in Jeepers Creepers 3 when two adult characters are talking about the sexual abuse of a 13-year old girl. I was pointing out the fact that we sentence people to prison for x-many years and when they are released we are supposed to treat those who serve the time for their crimes as freshly made, clean slated people.but we give rapists/pedophiles/etc super short sentences, sometimes no jail time at all.
